This book is said to be the remake of the 1991 American movie “THELMA AND LOUISE”, this book is also a combined work of two unique authors who have given some of the best selling books.

Hello girls is the story of two teens who has been struggling all their lives to breathe freedom from their male dominating world. Our Winona Olsen, daughter of the towns beloved weatherman Stormy Olsen, a caring and seemingly perfect father who gives exquisite gifts for his daughters and also gives her scars over her body where it cannot be seen. Also our girl Lucille Pryce, who works as a waitress in all her free time from school to fulfill the needs of her mother and her drug dealing brother who does not even go out from the house. She works hard for her family, leaving her with nothing. Lucille kept her waitressing tip money under her bed hidden from her family so that she could have some savings for herself, but her brother snatched the money by beating her to death and left her on the floor to bleed.

Winona and Lucille met eachother standing outside the police station bleeding and also with an urge to turn in their abusive family, but to their sad reality they knew that no one would believe them. From that day forward they became secret buddies who often met at their cliffside hideout to plan their escape to Chicago after graduation. Winona was told that her mother passed away when she was young unless one day she found letters from her dead mother hidden inside her fathers office, that’s when she realized her whole life was built upon lies and there will be no freedom from her father even after her graduation. After finding out her mother’s current address she decided to set out a journey to find her and escape from her abusive father. Along with Lucille, she started her journey to Vegas to find her mother in her grandfathers Alpha Romeo car. They never knew what their journey had in store for them. They had to steel, run, gamble and kill inorder to reach their destination. The twists and the turns made me read the book nonstop , the eagerness to know what happens next kept the feel alive, but the writing was not up to pace , it had some unrealistic plot holes which was a bummer. Otherwise the story was fun, dark, interesting and feminine, overall I enjoyed the story.
