Everytime when my husband goes to Anjapaar restaurant , he used to buy this payasam. It was his favourite there; but what i noticed is that only a very little amount of tender coconut is added , the kheer was also watery and did not have nuts in it, but the price was high; trust me high in the sense very high. Last sunday i decided to try this kheer all by myself;so i asked my husband to get me two tender coconuts. It was really easy making this one and the taste was very very good.Instead of making the same பால் பாயாசம் everytime this could be a wonderful and delicious change.
INGREDIENTS:
*Tender coconut
*Milkmaid(condensed milk)
*Milk
*Sugar
*Cardamom
*Nuts
PROCEDURE:
*Take the coconut water in a bowl and remove the tender coconut from inside to a seperate bowl.
*Take the tender coconut in a blender and pour some coconut water to it . Just give it a simple pulse , make sure it doesnt become fine blend.
*Take half cup of condensed milk in a pan , add sugar . Heat it.
*Pour one cup of milk to the pan and make it to boil. Heat it till the milk is reduced to half.
*Now take it of the heat and cool it down.
*Once it is cooled add the blended tender coconut mixture to the pan. Season it with crushed cardamom and nuts.
*Transfer it to a bowl and serve cold.
It took only 10mins to prepare this one. Trust me it was really good. 😉
