THE SEAFOOD DUO

Cooking has made a place in my passtime list after wedding. I was always been a selective eater , i never give a try to dishes that are new to me. Being 23yrs old im still not over that habit. After marriage i learned to cook varieties for my husband , Nonveg recipes and veg sabzis are my strong side. I cant bore him by cooking the same dish everytime , thus my experiment with food started. Even though i cook several varieties i never eat them, but honestly speaking everyone who ate really loved it. Seeing my first blog which was a recipe, people started teasing me by asking questions like was it really edible; you are having so much free time itseems thats why you are wasting it by writing blog so and so . Okk!!! Yup im having so much time to myself atleast im finding a way to keep myself occupied rather than gossiping about others, GROW UP PEOPLE!!

         Now on with the blog ,, my husband is a lover of seafood , he really has a weak spot for seafood, so i put effort not to disappoint him. Returning back to bangalore from nagercoil i had to resume cooking, it was four long months since i last cooked . I wanted to cook something delicious for my people at dinner , So i decided to cook one of my strong reciepes SQUID ROAST and CRAB MASALA. I really enjoy cooking this both , so i thought of sharing the recipe with my people. 😉

SQUID ROAST.                                 CRAB MASALA

INGREDIENTS

*Squid -500gms                       *Crab- 1/2kg

 (cut into ring)                               (Cut and cleaned)

*Shallots-20                            *Onion- 1big

*Garlic-sml piece                   *Ginger garlic paste

*Ginger-6 cloves                    *Cumic seeds-1/2tsp

*Fennel seeds-1tsp                *Fennel seeds-1tsp

*Tomato-2 medium.               *Tomato-2 medium

*Green chillies-2.                    *Green chillies-2

*Curry leaves.                         *curry leaves

*Chilly powder.                       *Chilly powder

*Pepper powder.                     *Pepper powder

*Turmeric powder.                *Turmeric powder

*Corriander powder.             *Corriander powdr

*Garam masala powder.      *Garam masala pwdr

*Salt.                                         *Salt

*Coconut oil.                           *Coconut oil

                                                   *Corriander leaves

PREPARATIONS

*Take shallots, ginger,         *Take crab in a sauce

garlic in a blender and           pan with water,

blend it to coarse paste.         turmeric powder

                                                    and salt .Boil this for

                                                    5 mins.

*Take oil in a frying pan     *Take a pan ,add oil,

add in the blend mixture.      Onion nd saute well

*Once the raw mixture is    *Add green chillies,

saute well add green               curry leaves and

chillies and curry leaves.       ginger garlic paste.

*Add tomatoes and saute.     *Add tomatoes and

                                                      Saute till mushy.

*Add in the spice powders   *Add in the spice

                                                     powders nd mix wel

*Add the squid to this           *Take the boiled

mixture and mix well              crab in a filter and

                                                      store its water .

*Cook till the squid is           *Pour half of the

                                                    cooked  mixture.

*Add salt and mix well.         *Add the crab to the

                                                     mixture and give a

                                                     good mix.

*Cover and cook till               *Add the remaining

ready.                                          water in the pan

                                                     and boil till cooked.

                                                     corriander leaves

                                                     in the last.
